What does it mean to live generously?

Everyday, 18,000 children die from hunger. Millions go hungry every night, millions suffer from HIV/AIDS, and millions don’t have clean water. In America, we face the opposite problem: excess. We try to lose weight, clean up our cluttered houses, and simplify our crowded lives.

While it’s not as simple as balancing out a lopsided equation, there’s no denying that those of us who have been given much, have much expected of us. FMSC believes living generously is a lifestyle, acknowledging what we have, being thankful, and investing in the lives of others.

Our new video, “Live Generously,” cuts right to the heart of the matter. Life is meant to be lived generously, even when you have little. Shot in Haiti earlier this year, it tells the story of one woman who doesn’t let her circumstances dictate how she lives.
